Over 50 Million people travel each year in and out of the United States. Most of the travelers believe that their Group Medical or Individual Medical Plan will provide them coverage while they are traveling. But does it really? Each carrier has it’s own rules on what is covered, how it is covered, where it is covered and under which specific scenario. Why test fate when you are traveling? Make sure that you are covered by purchasing a Travel Medical Policy. Coverage can be for as little as five days up to three years for US Citizens traveling overseas and non-US Citizens visiting the United States.
Coverage provided: - Medical Maximum ($50,000, $100,000, or $500,000. Maximum $15,000 for persons age 80+)
- Deductible ($100, $250, $500, $1,000, $2,500)
- Co-Insurance: After deductible is met, plan pays 80% of the next $5,000 of eligible coverage then 100% of the Medical Maximum
- Emergency Medical Evacuation/Repatriation: $100,000 in addition to the Medical Maximum
- Accidental Death and Dismemberment: $25,000
- Return Of Mortal Remains: $20,000
- 24 Hour Travel Assistance
- Trip Cancellation: Up to $5,000 will be reimbursed if unable to continue trip due to immediate family member’s death or if
- Guaranteed Issue to individuals 15 days or older traveling outside their home country
